New Delhi:

Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool will win 149 of 294 seats in Bengal and its nearest rival, the BJP, will be second with 116 seats, says NDTV’s poll of exit polls after state elections.

The polls give the Left 16 states.

In Assam, the Congress is up for disappointment, predicts an aggregate of five exit polls, with the BJP expected to retain power with 75 of 126 seats. The Congress is likely to win 50 seats, the polls suggest.

In Kerala, the incumbent Left-led front is likely to win 76 of 140 seats, with the Congress-led UDF close behind with 62 seats, the polls say. The BJP is given two seats.

For Tamil Nadu, the polls predict a sweep for the opposition DMK with 171 of 234 seats. The AIADMK, which is the BJP’s ally, is given 58 seats.
